Archive Quail

Not every quail becomes an Archive Bird.

Selection is made over time, by watching the consistency, distinction and visual quality of her laying signature.

Her collection is hers alone: a numbered sequence of selected eggs, each one catalogued as part of her natural work.

Carto

A calm quail with a satin-sheened laying signature unlike any other in the flock. Her eggs are a warm pale brown, carrying large, map-like markings in deep brown, sprawling, continental shapes that shift across each shell like terrain viewed from above. No two are charted the same way.

Carto's eggs are catalogued as The Carto Collection, numbers 1-15.
